Are you part of a professional practice social media group?
We’re doing a study to look at how workers are doing since the pandemic and would like to access your group’s postings. We’re looking for groups with social workers, social care staff, and community and voluntary sector workers working in Greater London or East of England or nationally.
What to expect if your group admin grants access.
Every day, a secure automated system will collect new posts from your group and other groups taking part. The system will put together all the posts from all the groups with the same kind of workers, immediately delete all identifying information (e.g., names, placenames, images, links) and transform the data into numbers. The numbers will be used to create a simple graph showing overall trends in resilience, resistance and burnout.
No one needs to do anything different. Members can post as normal about whatever is on their minds. We will provide a notice about this research to post on the group before, during and after the research.
Researchers and others will never see the actual posts or any identifying information. All that will be seen is a simple graph of trends in resilience, resistance and burnout.
The wider study is also looking at the economic impacts of not supporting workers; however, this request relates only to amplifying your voices to show real time and emerging trends in resilience, resistance and burnout.
